See you in the New Year!
This is our Friday rubric: every week a new Science Page from the Bob Morrison’s Swine Health Monitoring Project. The previous editions of the science page are available on our website.
University of Minnesota researchers Marcello Melini, Mariana Kikuti, Montse Torremorell, Kimberly VanderWaal, Stephanie Rossow, Jerry Torrison, and Cesar Corzo share the results of a study conducted to measure the infectivity of different PRRSV variants.
Continue reading “Do all PRRSV variants have the same level of infectivity?”This is our most popular series on the blog. Once a month, we are sharing with you a presentation given at the Allen D. Leman swine conference, on topics that the swine group found interesting, innovative or that lead to great discussions.
You can find all of the presentations selected from previous conferences on the blog here.
Continue reading “Best of Leman 2023: Karine Talbot – The role of biosecurity in controlling PEDV”We are excited to introduce our participants and recipients to Sarah Vadnais who will be working with the Morrison Swine Health Monitoring Project. Sarah is a second year Masters of Public Health student studying health data science and has previously worked in clinical research roles.

Sarah received a BS in environmental science with minors in Public Health and Statistics at the University of Minnesota and is set to complete their MPH at the University of Minnesota in May 2024. Their graduate research focuses on predicting surgical outcomes using various machine learning models.
