Top 5 reasons we are looking forward to the 2024 Leman Swine Conference

The Leman Swine Conference is less than a month away, and it’s going to be quite the celebration! This year marks the 50th anniversary of the conference, and there is a lot to look forward to. Here are the top 5 of things we can’t wait for.

1. Celebrate with Matt Allerson at the Science in Practice Reception

This year the Science in Practice Reception is back at the Science Museum of Minnesota. Enjoy this unique location and raise a glass with us, to celebrate the Science in Practice awardee, Dr. Matt Allerson, and the 50 years of the conference!

2. There is something for everyone in the Leman conference program

The Leman Conference is known for bringing science-driven solutions to the complex challenges facing the industry. There is something for everyone at the conference: obstacles to disease elimination, new technology to control the spread of disease by aerosol, transport biosecurity, updated PRRS economic impact, PCV4, Salmonella update, supporting the sow productivity and many more current topics. Check out all that the Leman Swine Conference will be delving into this year by perusing our program!

3. Catch up with your connections from around the country and around the globe!

We know most people’s favorite part of the conference are the conversations happening around the sessions, and we are happy to provide multiple opportunities to chat with your conference friends. Catch up with your peers in the hallways, visit our sponsors booths in between sessions, or have a drink with your industry buddies during one of the receptions.

Cannot make it to the conference but want to send us your best wishes for our 50th anniversary? Give us a shout out on our online card!

4. So much new research being showcased

New research is showcased in so many different ways! Check out over 100 posters, DVM students presenting their clinical cases and problem solving skills, and our special session showcasing research highlights on Sunday afternoon!

5. Be inspired by Lisa Tokach during the Beer and Bacon Conversations

This year, we are delighted to have Lisa Tokach as our guest for an informal conversation regarding private practice, swine farming and staying focused on what matters professionally and personally.

Bonus #6: You can enjoy a maple glazed bacon donuts, a Leman conference staple!
