Dr. Guilherme Preis is a Ph.D. student in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota. He grew up in Brazil involved in the swine industry and received his B.S in Veterinary medicine from the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina in Brazil. He then worked for BRF for 4 years before attending the University of Minnesota to receive his M.S. in Veterinary Medicine. His research focuses on the transmission and pathogenesis of Senecavirus A in swine and the determination of herd-level risk factors associated with the disease.
